Built-in units, stacked laundry machines and oversized refrigerators need extra details. Photograph the surrounding cabinets, connections and route out. Commercial equipment or unusually heavy units require a separate assessment; a household appliance price should not be assumed to cover them.

Appliance removal prices

Single-appliance removal starts at $100. Multiple units are quoted together based on volume, weight and handling rather than a fixed number of appliances per load. The published full-load rate is $495 for 12 cubic yards; it does not guarantee that any complete kitchen or commercial load fits that rate.

Describe stairs, elevators, narrow doors and long carries before booking. Confirm the total for the agreed items and preparation before the crew starts loading. Our pricing guide shows the available volume rates. For furniture going out with the appliances, include those pieces in the same quote request.

Prepare appliances before the crew arrives

• Connections: tell us about gas, water and hardwired electrical connections. Arrange appropriate disconnection by a qualified professional before pickup unless a different scope has been explicitly confirmed. Hauling does not automatically include plumbing, electrical or gas work.
• Refrigerators and freezers: remove food and liquids, and tell us about loose shelves or drawers.
• Washers and dishwashers: confirm they are disconnected and ready to move. Let us know about retained water or leaks.
• Access: clear the route and arrange any required elevator or loading reservation. Leave heavy units in place for the agreed pickup.

Do not cut refrigerant lines or assume a built-in appliance is ready to haul. Photos help us identify questions to settle before the visit.

Recycling and self-haul options in San Diego

If you can transport an appliance yourself, the City-listed Miramar Recycling Center is a separate option from paid home pickup. As checked September 29, 2026, the City lists $12 fees for stoves, washers, dryers and hot water heaters, and $25 for refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners. Confirm current acceptance and fees with the center before traveling, especially for an item not specifically listed.

Those are facility drop-off fees, not prices for our carrying and hauling service. Appliance disposal options depend on the type of unit; refrigerant-containing equipment needs appropriate handling. Ask a new-appliance retailer about any haul-away service as part of your purchase, including its preparation rules and charges.

Tell us when a new appliance is arriving and when the old unit will be safely disconnected. Ask about same-day availability if you need an urgent removal; the crew schedule and preparation determine what we can book.
